Future Casting

If ever someone makes a movie about the founding of Britain's Special Operations Executive, Joan Bright Astley, who was a secretary at one of SOE's precedessor agencies, should be played by Carey Mulligan. The resemblance is striking.

Agreed. (Even though I don't know who either of those ladies is.)

Also: Have you seen the HBO miniseries "John Adams" with Paul Giamatti? It's quite good, esp. the first and last installments. In any case, the timeline spans over 50 years and nearly every Founding Father has a role. The resemblances to the historical men (as they aged!) is quite striking.

Futhermore: Who ought to play A.R.B. Linderman in "From Student to Master: How a Boy from the Desert Turned his Alma Mater into an Oasis in Texas"?

I've not seen the series, though perhaps I should. Spending all this time in Britain, I'm intrigued by our connection to the mother country - ie, colonial history. Moreover, as much as I enjoy the UK, I have guilty moments of feeling like I should know more about my own country. A decent review of the Founding may be in order.

There may be a tad bit of work to be done before they're casting me in any movies, but I probably ought to start thinking about who I want, shouldn't I? Any suggestions. But seriously, I'm flattered. I hope to live up to some small part of the expectation.
